Washington State head coach Paul Wulff is hard at work ahead of signing day, nailing down last-second commits. On Monday, Wulff and the Cougars added two more recruits to the class of 2011 — a linebacker and offensive lineman out of California.
Darryl Paulo was first to pull the trigger as news of his commitment broke on Monday morning. Paulo comes from talent-laden Grant Union High School, where he was teammates with highly-touted recruits Viliami Moala — a Cal commit — and James Sample — a Washington commit. Paulo is a three-star middle linebacker, ranked 46th at his position.
Oakland product Wendell Taiese was next for the Cougars, picking Washington State over Arizona State. Taiese is a huge offensive lineman, checking in at 6-foot-6 340 pounds as a high school senior. He has not yet been rated or ranked by the major recruiting services.
