Yesterday, Samoa News got word that two American Samoa student athletes from Tafuna High School were a part of the 2011 National Signing Day. It’s the official day that all the Universities and Colleges in the United State use to recruit Senior football players from all over the nation — those graduating from high school this year.

Tafuna High School Warriors Isaiah Tuiasosopo and Lene chose to sign Letters of Intent yesterday, for full ride scholarships to Austin Peay University — “Governors”, and the University of Arizona —“Wildcats”, respectively.

The letters were signed at Tafuna High School’s principal’s office, yesterday morning. In attendance were both players parents, head coach Jason Magalei and coach Lomi Akapo, along with VP Beauty Tuiasosopo.
