Haloti Ngata - Pacific Athlete Extraordinaire
Haloti Ngata, Number 92, plays defensive end for the Baltimore Ravens and is one of the highest paid Polynesian players in the NFL with an appearance in his 2nd Pro Bowl in two years.  Ngata grew up in Salt Lake City where both parents had immigrated from Tonga. He attended Highland High School and was named the 2001 Gatorade player of the year.  He studied at the University of Oregon and led the team's defensive tackle squad with over 100 tackles in 2004 and 2005.  He also recorded the second highest bench press weight at the school maxing out at 495lbs.  In 2006 Ngata was drafted to the Baltimore Ravens and started in all 16 games of his rookie season. Haloti Ngata is still very much in touch with his Tongan ancestry and despite his busy schedule as a professional athlete he  finds time to practice his faith as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  On the field they call Haloit "The Beast". Off the field he is one of the nicest, humble, positive professional athletes we've interviewed.
