Georgia State Football Recruiting: Fatu Ulale Makes Committment

According to Rivals.com, Cerritos Community College Defensive End Fatu Ulale is the 5th commitment to the Panthers' 2011 signing class. The 6’2, 275lbs Ulale will sign with the Panthers on NSD and will participate in summer workouts according to the AJC's Chip Towers. Ulale is a California native and prepped at Bellflower HS. He will have 3 years to play 2 seasons.

“I just fell in love with the coaching staff, basically,” Ulale said of choosing to come all the way across the U.S. to play football. “I had a connection with some of the other players there, too, and I feel like I may be able to come in and have an impact.”

Ulale had major interest from Washington after HS but academics forced him to go the JUCO route. He is the 3rd Panther with Samoan heritage joining LBs Jake and Louie Muasau.

Fatu has made incredible strides since arriving at Cerritos CC as he entered the Norwalk, CA campus at 245lbs. He will enroll in June at 275lbs with a tremendous increase in functional strength while maintaing his speed. With even more emphasis on S&C and proper nutrition, Ulale could project at 285-290lbs by the time he’s a Sr.
