BYU's football program has received its 18th commitment.
Aulelio Olomua, a defensive end at Mesa (Ariz.) High School, announced on his Facebook page that he has committed to the Cougars.
"I committed to BYU," wrote the 6-foot-4, 235-pound senior. Olomua also had an offer from Utah, according to scout.com. He made a visit to Arizona, but it is unclear whether he received a scholarship offer from the Wildcats.
Olomua is the nephew of former BYU offensive coordinator Robert Anae, who ironically was forced out at BYU and is now the running game coordinator at Arizona.
Olomua made his official recruiting visit to BYU the weekend of Jan. 8-9, but did not commit at that time. Most of the other dozen or so recruits on that visit had already committed to BYU.
Olomua played as a junior at Red Mesa High in northern Arizona
