Nora Tuioti-Mariner Earns Pac-12 Postseason Honors Freshman posted 259 kills in first season

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Freshman Nora Tuioti-Marinerof the Sun Devil volleyball team was named Honorable Mention Pac-12 All Freshman as announced by league officials Tuesday morning.
Tuioti-Mariner posted 259 kills in her first season with ASU, which ranked third best on the club. The newcomer was second on the team in total blocks (83.0) and digs (233).
"Nora made considerable progress this pas season," said head coach Jason Watson. "Her recognition is a fitting end to a solid freshman year. She will be part of a core group of athletes that will play a significant part in our future."
By season's end, she recorded seven double-doubles, including 16 kills and 12 digs against No. 20 Oregon on Nov. 4. Tuioti-Mariner etched her name in the ASU record book on Sept. 16, against Oregon State as she notched 11 block assists - a freshman best for most block assists in a match.
