Texas State Head Coach Dennis Franchione signs class with national flair

Kamu Taulelei, DL, 6’1”, 265, Fagatogo, American Samoa (Redford HS/Chabot College)

Listed as a three-star recruit by … registered 42 tackles, including 7½ tackles for losses and 3½ quarterback sacks as a sophomore at Chabot College … also broke up a pass … played for coach Danny Calcagno … helped Chabot win the Golden Gate Conference with a 5-0 record and post a 9-2 overall mark … played in three games as a freshman at Eastern Arizona College for coach John O’Mera … recorded four tackles at Eastern Arizona … played at Redford High School in Honolulu for Fred Salonoa.

Named a two-star recruit by … named an All-Golden State Conference selection as a sophomore … helped lead Chabot to a conference championship and a berth into the Capital City Bowl game … played in seven games … recorded 34 total tackles and had nine tackles for losses … registered four quarterback sacks and broke up one pass in 2011 … recorded 17 tackles and three tackles for losses as a freshman … also assisted on a quarterback sack … was a two-year letterman at Samoana High School … major at Texas State is science … son of Tasainamao Tupuola and Marty Mamea. . .
