Sat out the 2008 season due to NCAA transfer rules ... Attended Grossmont College from 2005-07, before playing at UAB for one year ... Garnered MWC all-academic honors in 2009.
2009: Earned a starting spot at defensive end in 10 of 12 contests ... Made 23 tackles with five for a loss and two sacks ... Appeared in his first game in the Red & Black in the opener against UCLA ... Both of his stops vs. the Bruins were behind the line of scrimmage ... Also tallied a pass break-up ... Made good on his first career start, coming away with two sacks and a forced fumble vs. Southern Utah ... Starter again at Idaho, but had just one solo tackle ...
