Marques Tuiasosopo leaves UW for UCLA

Marques Tuiasosopo, who has been an assistant strength coach with the Husky football team the past two seasons, is leaving for a similar job at UCLA.
Marques Tuiasosopo, a former UW quarterback who has been an assistant strength coach with the Husky football team the past two seasons, is leaving for a similar job at UCLA, it was confirmed Wednesday.
Tuiasosopo returned to UW in August 2009 after his eight-year NFL career came to an end. As an assistant strength coach, he has not been allowed to coach on the field (per NCAA regulations) but has been able to work with players in the weight room and handle other duties at practices and games.
At UCLA, he will join his coach at UW, Rick Neuheisel, who is entering his fourth year with the Bruins. It could not be confirmed exactly what Tuiasosopo's title will be at UCLA, but it will apparently be a similar job.
The Huskies expect to have all nine of their full-time assistant coaches return for 2011.
