PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed fourth-round draft pick Alameda Ta'amu.
Pittsburgh traded up in the fourth round to select Ta'amu with the 109th pick. The 6-foot-2, 348-pound defensive tackle out of Washington is expected to back up Casey Hampton this season.
Ta'amu recorded 109 tackles with 7 ½ sacks and 16 ½ tackles for loss during his last two seasons with the Huskies. He was All-Pac-12 honorable mention as a junior and a senior.
